Felipe Cohen's practice develops from the tension between the traditional and contemporary ways of displaying the artistic object and the study and revisiting of recurrent problems in art history in order to reinterpret and update their meanings in the present. This tension occurs through the articulation of noble materials and everyday objects, creating paradoxical forms that are forced to closely interact, as well as new symbolic updates of classic signs and genres in a dialectic process.

Felipe has a degree in Drawing and Sculpture from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado, São Paulo, Brazil, he has had solo exhibitions at Galeria Millan, São Paulo, Brazil (2013, 2016 and 2019); Kubikgallery, Porto, Portugal (2017); Capela do Morumbi, São Paulo, Brazil (2013); Arco, Madrid, Spain (2010); Centro Universitário Maria Antonia, São Paulo, Brazil (2006), among others.

He was nominated for the PIPA Prize in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2016 and was a finalist for the CNI SESI Marcantonio Vilaça Award, in 2011. He was awarded the illy SustainArt, ARCOmadrid, Madrid, Spain in 2016; Atos Visuais - Funarte, Brasilia, Brazil  in 2007 and Fiat Mostra Brasil, São Paulo, Brazil in 2006. His work is featured in important Brazilian collections such as Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Brazil; Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, Brazil and Museu de Arte do Rio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
